The Ashford Coking Coal Project, located in the Ashford Basin of Northern New South Wales, was previously a strategic coal asset for Savannah Goldfields. The project contains metallurgical (coking) coal resource with potential export value.

Sale Completion & Current Status

In 2024, Savannah Goldfields sold its interest in the Ashford Coking Coal Project to Clara Resources Australia Ltd (ASX: C7A):
• Clara Resources acquired 100 % ownership of the Ashford project.
• Savannah owns approximately 3% of Clara.
• Savannah to be paid a royalty of $0.75/tonne coal produced from Ashford.

Future Outlook

Ashford continues to be developed by Clara Resources. Savannah’s retained royalty and shareholding provide ongoing exposure to Ashford’s future development, without direct operational involvement.
